With the participation of the Dean of Information Technology and distance education ended 34 heads of executive information technology in the government sector and a workshop entitled "The role of CEO of information technology in government sectors interdependent" organized by the e-Government Program "pleased" in collaboration with the School of Management at Boston University.
The Director-General of the e-Government Program "pleased" Engineer Ali bin Saleh Al-Soma that the primary goal of this workshop was to seek to bring together executive leaders of information technology in various government agencies in one place for consultation and dialogue about all the ways that will support the transition government agencies to e-government.
The workshop addressed a number of topics, including: opportunities and challenges for the executive heads of information technology in the era of integration between government agencies through link networks and national, and organizational transformation in government agencies, as well as the role of the executive heads of information technology in the public sector to lead change management, which is the axis that has the greatest of interaction and participation among the audience.
He suggested the Director-General of the e-Government Program "pleased" that the workshop was an environment fertile for the exchange of views between the audience together to discuss the challenges facing their work within the transition-mail to get out the recommendations of the joint based on the practices and successful experiences and based on the experiences of executive demonstrated excellence already.
He said Al-Soma that such scientific meetings and the process to ensure the exchange of experiences, both lecturers at the workshop or through attendance as well as discuss the challenges facing the work of these important departments in the government sector for being concerned in achieving leadership in e-government agencies.
And concluded the workshop to give participants a broad view of the work of the principle of partnership with different sectors of government as well as review the foreseeable outstanding on the management of change in the governmental bodies developed by working through the interdependence of all parts and components, which already managed by the application of its technical concepts and turn them into practiceon the ground, as well as developing and improving the role of CEO of information technology in government agencies in the Kingdom.
After, the peace of the Dean School of Management at Boston University and Director General of the Programme is pleased to participants certificates of completion of the workshop, which was supervised by the Centre of Excellence for Research and Development Programme "is pleased", and lasted for three days, also recognized the general manager of the program received a trophy for the Dean of the School of Management at Boston University Professor Michael Lawson , and another for the records of Professor Van Kterman management professor and head of the department at the university.
