Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Mohammad Al Asimi Rector of Salman Bin Abdul Aziz University launched the first stage of E-services which will provide more than 26 services for faculty members, staff, students, individuals and external institutions. This stage started on Monday 12/6/1434H in Rector office in presence of Dr. Saleh Bin Ali Al Qahtani Vice Rector of Academic and Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Ibrahim Al Khudari And a number of Deans and University officials.
Dean of IT and Distance Learning Dr. Al Qahtani declared that launching E-services came of University's plan to move toward the E-government, which has been prepared in cooperation with "Yasser" program, supervised by The Rector.
Dr. Al Qahtani pointed out that all these services are integrated with one unified login system with one username and password to login into all systems and services that University provide. These services enable the member of faculty or the employee to review his, payment role, leaves, Financial dues and follow up its disbursement beginning with processing at the system till it be deposited in his bank account. It also enable him to update his administrative data with uploading documents required for this data. In addition to giving him the opportunity to get identification letters electronically such as identification letter of salary for the employee and the letter of financial guarantee scholarship.
Moreover, Mr. Nayef Bin Thaher Al Anizi Manager of Applications Management clarified that Deanship activated Google applications for University students. Then he talked about E-employment which is enable graduated students to write their CV's and applying them into the available job vacancies. This service is provided in cooperation with Human Resources Development Fund. On the other hand students and external institutions are provided with transaction tracking service of that enable them to track their transactions.
Further, Mr. Farraj Bin Fahed Al Turki Manager E-portal Management stated that Deanship has developed an integrated system to faculty members websites which activate a direct communication process between students and faculty members in addition to researchers. Then he clarified that the whole system is developed by the deanship team by using open sources technique, which is consider one of the best techniques in the software world, regarding to cost, restrictions and variety of its technical support means.
Furthermore, Mr. Al Turki added that integrated the website of training services has finished in cooperation with Deanship of Community Services and continuous Learning, which allows to apply for courses after viewing course description and the CV of its trainer, In addition to registration service for trainers who are willing to give courses.
It's worth mentioning that the University built its electronic transformation plan In cooperation with program "Yasser'' of the E-government which included 15 programs that will be funded by the program and will be achieved within the next three years. Which will make the University an example for other universities in electronic transformation.
At the end, Dr. Al Qahtani expressed his thanks to Rector of the university for his support and follow up on the presented services from the Deanship of IT and Distance Learning. As well as Vice Rector, Dr. Musharaf Al Zahrani Dean of faculty members and staff, and Dr. Khalid Al Gamlas Manager of Community Services and continuous Learning for their contribution to achieve these services.
