Under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of PSAU, Deanship of IT and Distance Learning presented daily for 14 days a series of professional workshops. The workshops was delivered by e-learning team of the university and professional specialists in developing the content. It was held on the university headquarters in Al Kharj, Aflaj and Wadi Addawasir, and it was attended by 60 faculty members.
The series began in the main headquarter in Al Kharj in the VIP training hall for men and simultaneously in Hedaia Building for women through network. Al Kharj witnessed four workshops were held on 15-16/6/1436H. The workshops included the following topics the rapid development of theoretical and practical content, content development through Blackboard and forms of professional content development.
Then, the workshops moved on 18-19/6/1436H to the Community College Headquarter in Aflaj. The following week, the workshops moved to the College of Arts and Sciences headquarter in Wadi Addawasir. The team has delivered eight workshops included a professional practical training on one of the programs of rapid development for courses.
It is worth mentioning, that this second version of the professional workshops is held simultaneously with ambitious program that trains the faculty members by e-learning team, which aims to get benefit from Blackboard system. The topic of these workshops is content development of Blackboard through tools of rapid digital development. It also aims to enable faculty members to view standards and practices of the high-quality e-courses development and the way of applying such practices in swift and self-manner.
The attendance praised the workshops topics, organization and training team regarding their inputs on such vital topic. The added that in the case of adoption such program, it would enrich the academic programs, teaching methods and the students’ practical expertise.
