With reference to the royal directions, PSAU seeks always to provide qualitative e-services to all the beneficiaries in its surrounding community. Therefore, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of PSAU inaugurated two important e-channels, besides the university’s emblem. The first one was My University Newspaper, which works on the publication of the university’s academic and practical activities, while the second one was Tawasol system that enables the university to interact with its community requests.
Dr. Mohammad AL Kahtani Dean of IT and Distance Learning expressed his delight regarding the inauguration. He clarified is considered an extension to the adopted idea by the Ministry of Education in communicating with its officials. Also, it considered an effective electronic mean that enables the beneficiaries to file a complaint, proposal or query before any of the university’s officials. The beneficiary is able to follow up his petition and acquire a status update about it by e-mail and SMS. In addition, the official is enabled to conduct the suitable procedure against it like a respond, approval or otherwise. Moreover, the system enables the university’s leadership to follow-up the all the requests and the conducted actions, besides having the related reports and indicators.
Dr. Al Kahtani added that this inauguration holds high meaning that assures the university’s interaction with its surrounding community, which fulfills its strategic plan.
